Default Ac Problem

Well I have a 95 grs 4 door! I live in vegas so it gets hot! When my ac is on when its night or really early in morning its ice cold... In the 11 12 1 2 3 4 5 ext. that's where the problem is! I turn it on and when I am at a stop it blows hot air.. also the car seem to be miss firing as i go thought the gears unless i floor the car.. I have noticed that when im at a stop it turns of and on withing 2 or 3 sec. .. causing my car to idle search.. but remember car runs great at night.. ice cold .. fans turn on ... i was thinking maybe relay or bad compressor.. or need refill but why does it st-udder as im driving with it on?? maybe turning off and then on considnely!!!

Please help i don't want to pay a fortune at the shop!!

well your car could be running sluggish at idle and low rpm due to a leaking headgasket (loss of compression) and if ur running it at idle with the ac on it will def run more sluggished from the extra effort of running the ac.Just check around the block for any leaks and if u have a gauge run a compression test. For ur ac not being cold at night i dont really no what to say just check to make shure that all the hoses are covered with insulation and not out of place touching sumthing hot like your exhaust manifold. u probably just need a refill. hope that helps.

that makes no sense this isn't an orfice tube system like a chevy has
you have a thermostatic expansion valve so your compressor should always be running hook up a manifold set and post the high and low side readings as well as the temp of the day when you are doing it so we can see it
