Are there 2 different 99-00 CTR Climate Controls? Seems kinda rare, LOOK!
I bought a 99-00 climate control and it looks different than other typical 99-00 CTR / EK9 Climate controls i've ever seen.... Any thoughts? Was this like a rare climate control?

The dash portion that you got has the optional AUTO climate controls. The way it works is similar to the USDM RSX climate controls. Turn the top **** to auto and the lowest **** to auto, and the middle **** you set to the temp you want to maintain within the car's cabin. The system will change the settings such as fan speed and air temp on its own. It is a difficult install to have the auto system running in USDM cars since you will need the temp sensors.
The picture that you have below the one you received is just a NORMAL climate control. Works the same exact way as USDM climate controls.
As for rarity, maybe. But full functionality is as an AUTO temp control is slim unless u have all the necessary components and the JDM wiring diagram.

Very good, so that climate control won't work in my USDM Civic?

I believe it should work just like the normal USDM climate control but without the auto functionality. Just test it before you clean up the install.
I don't have pics yet, but I just wanna say I got this in today and installed it into my car. Little modification to get the 99-00 CTR Climate Control to fit a USDM 99-00 Civic...
Everything was "plug and play". I knew the "regular" Ctr Climate controls were plug and play but this climate control is different as evidenced above because it has the "auto" option on it which is "optional" for the Civic Type R in japan. Everything was plug and play and the "AUTO" option works with my USDM plugs... I tested everything out and everything is flawless. I am ONE HAPPY CAMPER!

LoL. Awesome, so it looks like us 3 are only 3 of a few with the CTR CC. Not a lot of people I know do it. The C TR steering wheel/ CTR Cluster seems to be among the most popular things to get.

You mention that the auto function works? If so that is great!
Does the system change the fan speed and air temp on its own? Have you tested it throughly? I thought you needed the temp sensors for the AUTO system to work?
