My friend sold me his thule rack for $100, but the only catch was he didn't have all the parts for my 99 si. I went to my local Thule store (REI) and I asked the sales person what I needed.

My friend drives a Saturn Vue, so he had the roof rack bars already. What I had to buy was the 400xt aero kit, bars and the kit 259 to fit my car. The sales person said that all I need is one of the bars because I can leave the other side the way it is.

Now I read all the directions multiple times, I even started taking the rack itself apart (big mistake)

The pictures included are the parts I have. I got the fit kit and the aero kit on my bar, but after that I am stuck

Has anyone installed a thule rack and can assit me?

nope. I was told I can attach it using only 1 bar and keeping the other side intact. I can't seem to figure it out. I might just take it all apart or pay to have it installed.

 

take your car and rack to the store, and just ask. They will probably help exlpain it to you.

 

ya I called places and it ranges from 30-60 to install. I hope they have fun putting the rack back to gether after I took it apart
