what are the cons of having noisy valves?

other than being noisy and annoying, they probably need to be adjusted.

the engine wont run like it's supposed to with out of spec valves

my valves tick like mad even after i adjusted them to spec 3 times. they are oem too, just extremely noisy for some reason.

could be your lma's instead

do you know what? it probably is my lma's. what happens if i am running on worn out lma's?

you accelerate wear on the rocker arms, and loose performance. is it a sparatic noise or a uniform(click,click,click,click) most LMAs ive heard are more or a uniform clicking sound. plus jusdging from your sig you have a non-vtec engine.

Valves that are out of adjustment can:

cause poor idle
poor performance
increased wear
and if adjustment is too tight, can cause a burnt valve

just some things to think about

just follow the directions and make sure you have the necessary tools

lost motion assemblies. only applicable to vtec engines.
