tac weld..trying to remove stripped plug on motor ?'s
so theres a block plug on the rear of my block that im trying to remove, one came out easily while the other one basically stripped out "damm aluminum plugs"...with that said i was wondering what the best/easiest way to get this block plug of the block would be. Its a 14mm allen key plug. I borrow a friends welder but not having much luck. I was trying to weld a nut on the plug and then i could use my air tools to remove the nut/plug..well that was the idea anyways...
heard someone mention jb weld how-ever ive never used that and i cant imagine that would be strong enough sense i still have to break the plug free to begin with..
id like to avoid having to drill into it etc sense that would put shavings everything and possibly inside my block'
any ideas, suggestions etc would be very much appreciated...need this taken care of asap

you could try hammering a torx socket into the stripped out allen...a LITTLE bit of heat around the block where the plug threads in and you should be able to get it out that way
If the motor is not in the car, take a dremel or cut off wheel and put a notch on one side of the plug extending from the center, going outward. Then use punch or screw driver and tap it with a hammer to make it rotate.
