Default 93 Accord dr side window, track arm bent??

First of all, excellent forum! I have searched and read, read, read and then read some more. Did not find an answer to my question,,so I am going to try a new post.

I have a 93 4-door Accord, 5-speed, 4cyl. Problem being the power window, track arm has been bent. My better-half, tried to open said window, during the winter, and it was frozen shut. He still tried to open it, and it did open a bit,,,but ever since, when you go to close the window, it just keeps on going on out of the opening. If you are not paying attention well enough, it will go right on out, on the ground. I have taken the door panel off, and lubed everything,,,but it still happens. To me, a untrained eye, it looks like the front crossed arm is bent?? Can it be bent back into, the correct angle? Or would it be better to go and get one from the junk yard and replace?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, Heidi

Without seeing your car, here is some info.:

The glass is held in place with two bolts attached to the window regulator, & slides up and down between a front and center channel (tracks). Depending on the car, there may or may not be a guide pin attached to the glass, this helps guide the glass as it travels up and down the center channel.

1. Check the two bolts holding the glass to the regulator. They are at the bottom of the glass.
2. If there is a guide pin (yours may or may not have one, it is attached through a hole in the glass, near the top), check that it is not damaged.
3. If the channel (track) is bent, you can try to bend it back; otherwise replace it. The channels are both attached by one bolt each, and should be aligned with the glass so the glass travels up and down smoothly.

Also, if you need to replace one of the channels (track), you do not need to remove the glass. Just raise the window all the way up, then remove the bolt and slide the channel out. You may want to spray some silicone lubricant on the rubber in the channel to help it go in easier, when you reinstall. If it doesn't go back in easily, it is usually not aligned right. No need to make it harder for yourself.
