im not sure if this has been asked before.....
i just got a 97 accord lx and i was wondering if the paint on all the accords in that year are fading or flaking away? if so is there anything honda can do if it is not to late? or am i going to have to paint it myself?

I've bought stuff from Auto Zone. Its called dupli-color. It's oem paint (so they say). I think they have it in most auto stores. I have a 95, and the match was decent considering weathering and fading.

actually that duplicolor works pretty well. You can take a look at this part that I painted using it. I was pretty suprised how it turned this green spoiler to match my car. judge for yourself.

Honda will do nothing for you, usually the warranty on paint is 3 years 36,000 miles (at least it is at Dodge where I work). So it'll be up to you to get it fixed.

 

vw's have 7 year warranty on the paint.

 

because the drivers dont care about the paint
