Default The instrument cluster lights on my '96 civic aren't working.

I checked fuse and connections to cluster and they are o.k. Could it be the dimmer control assembly. I use to be able to get them to come on by tapping my hands on top of the glare shield but that no longer works. If it is a cluster assembly what does a new one run?

It may be just the bulbs in the cluster, check those first.
