how to set the timing on single cam zc

Default how to set the timing on single cam zc

yesterday i was accelerating pretty hard right before i went into third my car started sputtering and shut off so i started the car back up but it was sputtering and my timing belt on one side had a little slack in it so only thing i could thick of is my timing belt slipped so what i wanted to know is how to set the timing

Non-VTEC? do it same as D16A6 Si engine

hey whats up im in riverside now i went to try setting the timing and when i pulled one of my plugs out i noticed it was smashed it looked like something hit it so noweveryone i talked to said the motor is no good but i want to know for sure before i get a new one

OH ****......do a leakdown or a compression test. Simple, inexpensive, and it will
tell you wether or not your motor is any good

the bottom of the spark plug was smashed!?! can pistons even go that high.. I dont think you need to adjust your timing it sounds like you need a new spark plug.... are you sure that plug wasnt already like that?

Girlfriends car sputtered real bad for about 6 months, i thought it was the timing it turned out to be a bad plug wire. you would get the same result from a bad spark plug...

If your spark plug did get smashed by you then your valves probably did to, your valves may be shot and you block may still be good... theres alot of things that could of happened just let us know
