Default 1998 accord ex 2.3L 5 spd problem

I have a 1998 accord with 99,594 miles runs great except when I was on highway today riping through the gears at 4000 rpms in all gears the car seems to bog out and revs odd if I keep it below 4000 rpms it runs fine, could it possibly be Timing belt, vtec selinoid, bad spark plug/wire/etc..., I always have a engine light on its the cat(tech said not to worry about it), and today it had a air fuel metering code (dont know what that means) I was wondering what it could be, ANY help would be great

Check your oil level. It sounds like you are low on oil, and the engine is restricting the RPMs to ensure that you do not damage your motor. This has happened to me in the past after my girlfriend drove the car for a period of time and did not bother to change the oil. B#*ch.
