You could probably go to a motorcycle shop and pick up a helmet for around 100 or a little more that would pass the minimum requirements.

what you do need:

helmet,
tied-down battery
all 4 lugs (if 4 lug) otherwise you'll have to kiss their feet and maybe they'll think about it.

thats it, the rest is basic stuff

I don't know why its called a neutral safety switch, however it means that the car will not start in gear, or without the clutch engaged. Most cars come this way from the factory.

If I remember correctly you need to be on motorcycle or be running faster than 13.99 in 1/4 mile to require a helemet for NHRA rules, so I don't see why you would need any helemet. You can find open and closed faced DOT helemets a auto parts places and walmart.

I think that's a slightly different dialect, but yes my grammar is poor I'll fix it.

EDIT, actually I think that's right. Or at least right enough,

You need to plan ahead a little more. Don't go race right now. Get to know people who are doing it and find out more about it first.

Not after the hospital bills, insurance hikes, reckless driving tickets, funeral expenses and societal ostracism.
