AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
OK so i got done putting everything together after a blood bath war with my motor and parts, went out there today and cranked it up to get the fluids moving through the new motor, and then i put the ECU fuse back in and tried to start it, well it started up
but after letting it run for bout 15 seconds it started reving up to 3000 RPMs, at first i thought it was just warming up, but like 5 or 10 seconds later it started reving to like 5 or 5500 RPMs i havent touched the gas or nothing it was a ghost car, so i shut it off real quick and started to smell fuel, and their was fuel leaking out of the canister, so i will take i fuel line off and make sure that the seals and everything is good, but my question is what would make the engine rev up like that i thought it was just gonna keep on going up so thats why i cut it off, sense the gas was leaking i didnt think that their would be to much fuel going to the motor to make it rev up, IM STUMPED and angry
has anyone had this problem before?

i dont think an IACV can make it rev up that high but maybe you could try unpluging it and is your throttle body stuck or something. Those are the only two things i can think of but i am not an expert so maybe somebody else can help but no i have not had a problem like this nor have i heard of one like this.
Actually, that's happened every time I've seen someone change out their ECU. From the sounds of it your ECU is collecting data and re-mapping itself. Check the pgmfi forums if you're looking for more info on this.
well i took the bolt off the fuel where it was leaking and i forgot to put the seal on in all the excitement, and i talked to people at work and they said that might be it so ill try it and see, but i posted another topic bout my hoses and just wanted to see where they went see what happens with that one thanks guys
Would the fuel leaking out make it do that, cause they said sense its leaking then Sense there is not enough gas getting to it that it might be telling the ECU to send more then it revs watta you HT ppl say i know you know more bout hondas than these old ford guys lol no offense to anyone who reads this the wrong way

it wasnt idleing at, it started at 0 then went to like 2500 for like 5-10 seconds then started reving up higher and higher i cut it off at like5500 or 6000 cause it scared me its not supposed to keep going up

Dude, why not just stick with one string and ask your questions from there? Also you can use the search feature; lots of people successfully use it every day. Thanks.
