Default 240cc injectors... 48psi vs. 55psi vs. xxpsi

will i be able to get more power out of the stock 240cc injectors by increasing the fuel pressure??? currently have a walbro 255lph hp and aem fpr.

will i be able to reach around 210whp by just cranking up the fuel pressure using the stock injectors?

maybe... and they will after a while take a ****... and your engine might go with it too if you are asking bout fuel pressures u will be nowhere near 200 allmotor unless in a xtremely high reading dyno... without any tuning whatsoever

of course the motor will be mildly built to reach 200+

i just want to know with a high fuel pressure, will the stock injectors handle the power.

I'm making 221 whp SAE on stock 240cc injectors. Fuel pressure at 68 PSI.

i too was curious. i was told the tune would take care of this issue and that stock injectors would handle the 190hp mark with out maxing out

The answer is yes - to a point.

It boils down to the injector drivers and the injector coils. Some combinations have no problem running 100 PSI+, others will fail at 80 PSI. I have no idea how strong OEM Honda injector drivers are - never pushed it.

To calculate what your injector will flow at various pressures:

New PSI / Old PSI = X
square root of X x flow at old PSI = flow at new PSI

that formula looks shitty. here's an example:
to see what a 210 cc/min injector flows at 75 PSI

75 / 45 = 1.666

square root 1.666 = 1.29

1.29 x 210 = 271 cc/min @ 75 PSI

Hope that helps.

so whats considered by tuners to be too "high" of fuel pressure???

It depends on the injectors.

Jdogg has had three sets of 750's fail at 70psi of rail pressure, I never ran mine that high so I never had anything to back him up but I am sure he is right.

I ran DSM 450's a while back at 70 lbs for 10k miles and they are still on the road today in another guys car so they will apparently take it. Currently my RC310's are at 60 psi of rail pressure and have been for 2000 miles with no issues so as you can see, it will vary from injector to injector. I would think stock could handle 60psi all day long because that's only a 20%ish increase in pressure but who knows.

You can get RC's cheap if you look around. I scored mine for 60 bucks.
