Default Timing Adjust

Hey All

I installed a new distributor and after that the car seems the it takes sometime to start and when pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor would take time to react. I'm about to check the timing on my Civic 00 ex (stock) and found some helpful instructions here how to do it but I have one question before I do it. do I have to align the Camshaft pulley too (see picture below) or do I only worry about aligning the Drive pulley.

why should you have to adjust that timing? Do you mean you want to adjust your ignition timing? If so you have the wrong instructions

Yeah the ignition timing sorry I didnt put that. here is the deal, I installed a new distributor and after that the car seems the it takes sometime to start and when pushing the gas pedal all the way to the floor doesnt go anywhere so someone here told me to check the timing

I have the timing gun and tools but that was my only question

You are confusing cam timing and ignition timing. When setting the base ignition timing, you don't have to "align" any of the pulleys. Just jump the service connector, hook up your timing light, then start the car and point the light at the mark near the crank pulley. You can then adjust (rotate) the distributor until the timing mark lines up correctly.
