Speedometer does not work

No it´s a 1996 model, and only the tachometer works, I´m thinking of removin the plastic and cheking on the wires so that every thing is conected, or if a fuse is gone or something like that, becouse i dont know if it works with a cable or if its another kind of mechanism.

poor guy. hopefully it will get moved to the proper forum.
this might help:
check your VSS. it is located at the top of the transmission if you are lookin at it from the top of the engine bay. make sure its seated all the way down into the transmission. if that doesn't work take a look at your guage cluster, make sure the cable is plugged in.
