Default alternator bad?

I got a 1999 integra gsr and my dash lights and driving lights seem a little dim, but when i rev up to about 4000 rpms the lights get bright like they should and and then once i get to lower rpms they dim back down, my connetors arent the best, but i have been driving around like this for awhile so i figured if it was the alternator the battery would be dead by now. any help. thanks

it could be your battery bro. did your battery die when driving, or when you left your car off. because all your alternator does is it re-charges your battery while the car is running.

your lights are probably because of your connections. get new nice and clean ones. maybe get a better ground like 4 gauge.

my suggestion to your would be to charge your battery up separately. and see if it'll hold a charge. and/or get another battery you know is good and drive around in that. if your car ends up dyeing out. it's your alternator. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

other than that goodluck on your car.

I had my battery checked and it was good, so then i switched alternators and then came to figured it out, it was the negative ground on the frame.

Take a voltmeter to your battery, it should be 12.5 or higher. Then at idle take a voltmeter to your battery, it should be 14.1 - 14.5 If it is over 15 then your voltage regulator is gone on your altenator.
