Si rims on my ex coupe
I have been looking into purchasing a set of si rims (not hfp) to put on my ex coupe. The only thing is I would rather not use 3mm spacers or grind my calipers. Is there any way that I could purchase a set of si calipers and not have to shave them down? If so, where can I buy them? Are the si calipers smaller than my ex calipers? I need help!
Thanks, BOBCIVICEX

it would be expensive, not worth it. youd might as well first TRY to put the si rims on to see if they are touching the calipers. i sold a set of si rims to jonssonar and he put them on with out spacers, and they barely fit perfectly.

We put some si wheels on a lx/ex and it was fine. The girl hopped a curb and bent 2 wheels....came back a few weeks later and had the Si's bent up too....Drunk driving FTMFL!!!!
you dont NEED the spacers however, you run dangerously close.
Personally if i was in your position i would just get the 3mm spacer from ebay for 8 dollars
vs upgrade & void your brake warranty to facilitate some OEM si wheels that cost about 200-300 dollars.
the negative FARRRRRR Exceeds the positive.

I don't know if I'd trust $8 eBay spacers, but yes... Type X speaks the truth!

its not terribly bad without either. My girlfriend's mother just bought an LX, her boyfriend bought an SI, so she put his SI rims on her LX after he bought new wheels. No problem with it and she runs it rough on corners.
geezus fuqqing krist.... does anyone search?? (rhetorical question)
Here is the link - my other thread
and the jist of it....
06 Civic EX with 07 Si wheels and no spacers (extremely close and CAN in fact work that way)

But lets be safe and not damage the rim, added an 8th inch spacer (3mm)

how it looks w/the spacer in

with my thread title, probably not easy to find that in search (if that was used at all) but if you search the 06 forum for "post bodies" it can be found

i had 19s on my previous car and the clearance between the caliper and the wheel was (width) of a 20 bill folded in half....never had any issues..
id say no spacers, unless the tucked wheel look is too much for you.
