Default Do you need this???

I took my driver side rotor off yesturday to replace a stud and i noticed that their where two screws that where stripped and broke off, i know that the hold the rotor on, but i dont think you need them sense the wheel locks everything into place, it wont hurt without them right?

I dont have them, they were just put there to hold the rotor on while the car rolled down the assembly line most cars dont even have them out of the factory... i found it a bit crazy myself

just hope that the wheel sits nice and flush up against the rotor otherwise it will shake like a beast when you hit the brakes but other than that i dont see a problem

Most cars rotors just slide on anyways. You should be fine.

I didn't even know mine were missing till I put about 35k on the car and went to change the brakes. Honda sells them for like 0.35 each.

Yeah I didn't realize this either until just recently...mostly cuz I think all I've ever owned is hondas, except my first car which was an oldsmobile regency, haha. But I never changed the brakes on that...my buddy just changed brakes on a dodge caravan for a buddy of his and I noticed that there wasn't any screws. Apparently Honda is the only one who does that (this is what I' was told)?? For what reason, I do not know.

Dude, why not just stick with one string and ask your questions from there? Also you can use the search feature; lots of people successfully use it every day. Thanks.

This all needs to be in one thread. DO NOT create this many threads at one time again.
