Ive got 255/40/17 at stock height no problems and it looks like the rims can hold another inch in diameter. Thoughts? Experiences?

I know people have ran 265's, but im not sure about 275. If your lowered its going to be a PITA.

Not enough tires to choose from in 265. No not lowering it unless I get wheels. Im very happy with the stock suspension and wheels. It looks fine and im not tearing up under my car. No im thinking more in the terms of going WIDE front and back to get rid of understeer.

you will get more performance out of a tire that fits the width wheel it was designed for.
i would not venture any further then a 255 on the stock 17's, you will end up sacrificing sidewall strength and the car will handle worse.
I am speaking from experience.

Thanks. Does it look like a top fuel dragster or more subdued? How's it handle?

Understeers a little bit with the 225 front, but it's manageable. According to him at least.

I'm running 275 on a 17x9 in the rear. It handles very well in autocross and on the track. I don't have the AP2 rear wheel, but I'd definately try the 275 on it. My experience is that higher stagger really helps to settle the S2000.
