Just as the title says. I would like to get some suggestions for some tires without having to get too technical in my decision.
Heres my info:
- 99 honda civic hatch
- 15" rota slipstreams
- Tires will be used for daily driving with a very low possibility of some autox
- The tires will be used in all-around weather. Where I live it is 100+ degrees in the summer and rainy cold in the winter. Never any snow, and not a huge amount of rain. I would say average.
I want some tires that will perform well but won't wear out like the quickness and have me spending more money when I don't need to. Thanks to anyone who can help

You fit right in for the Kumho SPT. It is much better then the ES 100 in performance but also in price!
The SPT has great wet traction and good dry traction with a great threadlife.... about 35k.

For size, you can use either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.
The Kumho SPT is a good choice. Another possibility, similar but slightly better, is the Avon Tech M500. I wouldn't get the ES100, which costs more ($63/$77) but isn't quite as good as either one.
Current prices at the Tire Rack:
Avon Tech M500 195/55-15 $61
Avon Tech M500 205/50-15 $59
Kumho SPT 195/55-15 $62
Kumho SPT 205/50-15 $60
Through tomorrow, there is a $50 rebate on the Dunlop Direzza DZ101. It's not quite as good as these other tires, but it's not bad, and with the rebate, the savings may make them worth getting, particularly in the 205/50-15 size:
Dunlop Direzza DZ101 195/55-15 $55.50 after rebate
Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205/50-15 $42.50 after rebate

the Ecsta SPT?
Will these tires perform better or worse than the falken ziex 512's i have on the car now?

The SPT will perform much, MUCH better. Except in snow or when the outside temperature is well below freezing - conditions you don't have to worry about in CA.
