Default Stripping Car

What is the easiest way to strip a car down to bare metal? I want to do this, if possible, to cut down costs of paint/body work that is to be done on my car and I know there is mud underneath but not to what extent.

A good way to strip a whole car down to bare metal is by media blasting. Call around or buy a blaster. Sanding will take much longer. If your doing a full restoration its wise, but if your just going with a complete refinish or color change its not nessesary to go down to the bare metal on all areas/parts. Thats if the existing paint has no adhesion problems.

The paint is pretty shitty and I wanted to take it down to see what kind of damage the bondo is covering up.
