mini-me in a nutshell is a vtec head on a non-vtec motor.
The gains IMO aren't worthwhile for the effort/money involved.

If you say so bro, to me it was worth it. you can get everything you need for a mini me swap for around 300-400 dollars, probably even cheaper. I think the gains are well worth the money spent as long as you can slap everything on yourself. Labor is what will cost you up the ***.

I am thinking about doing this (have been aquiring the parts), what are your reasons (opinion) on why this isn't worth it....just curious, not trying to bust *****. I dont' want to start investing if it's not worth it. I went from a 00 Si (totaled) to a Cx and need more power. I plan on doing the mini me and then eventually turboing that bish.

If you have plans for turboing it, just get an ex tranny and a y8 manifold. Save the money you'd use for the mini-me and peice together your turbo kit.

So I shouldn't waste my money on the head? I have accumulated the IM (waiting for my injectors to come in), ECU (P2P), cluster (tach :tu).

No, the gains won't be noticeable once you've boosted.
Unless your planning to go over 400whp, I think you'll be fine with the y7 head. If anything, get some good springs/retainers and clean yuor valves with a wire wheel.

Ok cool thankz...Because i'm kind of new at this stuff...so still want to see if anyone has a 92-95 eg6 around MN for 2-2.5k and i'll take it for sure......

If your that hesistant about going turbo, don't even bother looking into it. Stick to n/a, swap the motor with a b-series vtec, or a k-series swap if you have the money, or an H2B setup.
Don't bother stickin n/a with a d-series, unless its fully built, besides that I can probably out run a d-series with a noob driver in track shoes.
