question before buying zex kit

hello all.
i am about to buy a Zex Kit for a manual SOHC D16y8. i was wondering since the kit is activated automatically at WOT, what would happen if the bottle is closed, does it not activate or what? The system comes with a switch , so why do they say it comes on automatically at WOT, dont you have to use the switch? And finally when you have a purge kit, where do the gases come out of ? the exhaust or the hood? Thanks for any input you guys have i really appreciate it, sorry for the dumb questions but i couldnt find anything under search.

#2. The switch is to arm it
#3. The purge is vented wherever you decide. It is a metal tube that most people stick on the firewall venting out of the rain tray.
