Default my b16 hatch build thread

hey guys im new... been watchin the website for a long time and looked and looked and looked for me a civic hatch and FINALLY got what i wanted... the car is a 93 dx.. it was an automatic.. the guy had it swapped into a b16a.... ehhh now before u all start flaming me.. i didnt paint the car.. nor did i put the stickers and bodykit.. etc... on the car.. i bought it like this due to the simple fact it was the only one i could find with the motor swap already cause i didnt have the knowledge to do it myself. all the stickers and racing stickers.. and brand names of stuff are COMING OFF along with the altezza's...

heres my engine..

heres what my plans are.. get me a nice set of plug wires. to help that.. get me a spark plug cover for the top of the engine. ummmm i want to redo ALL the electircal connections with fresh crimp ends and bigger gauge wire... try to make the rats nest look a lil better.

heres the interior...
when i got the car yesterday and was driving it home i looked down and i was stuck in park.. lol the car was an automatic at one time.. i bet whoever put that clutch pedal in had a hell of a time getting it in there.

OK GUYS NOW HERE.. here is the reason why i got the car the way it is... THE GUY i bought it from said.. he didnt do the engine swap.. someone else did before him. well he said that the ECU had to be rechipped before i could really open up the aspects of that motor.. GOSH i dont see how it can get any faster.. but anyways.. he said what he had on it RIGHT NOW was a STOCK civic ECU... and it limits everything and makes my car run sorta rich... and i cannot hit vtec plus switching gears from like 1st-2nd is really boggish and stuff. or it could be also where im still learning to drive stick. anywho here is a pic of the SUPPOSED TO BE stock civic ECU..

and then here is the ECU from the B16A he said. .. he said that it needed to be rechipped? that it reset itself!?... i dunno.. listen my neighbor is matt harmon.. also known on these forums as HARMONATOR so he knows a pretty good deal about whats going on he said my car was setup for OBD1.. ok.. heres the pics of the ECU that is in dire need of being rechipped...

and here it says "CHIPPED BY "SOME MEXICAN""

and i know u all prolly cant see this but it has been scratched in with a knife and says
"changed out 9-1-04"

my question for all u guys hat know what ur doing which is mainly EVERYONE on this website... can i just get on ebay and buy me a "chipped ECU for b16" like this one.. would it work..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

or where the auction says its for JDM? will that work with my american car... lord guys im sorry im eat plum up with the dumbass.. but yeh thats really the first problem im having with the car if i get a ECU for my b16 and stop running the stock civic ecu i bet it would make alot of my problems go away??...maybe?...
and IF ANYONE reading has an ECU to fit my car tell me on this forum and id be glad to purchase it from you... cause im in need of one. so tell me what u all think of my new ride its the 1st Honda ive ever had.. AND I PLAN to derice it..
but PLEASE help me out anyone that can help me with my ECU problems i wold GREATLY appreciate it..

Good luck, you definatley have your hands full, my best recommendations would be to r&r as much as possible and worry about the motor last.

Not to mention I think my stock y7 could take it.
