How can we answer a Q's you can only answer... If you really ask me, I would say the price seems decent. But I don't know whats the car been through. Test drive it and inspect it thoroughly and then decide. I would say yay...?

If you buy this... whatever it is... get rid of the ECU and get the proper one.

Oh and then factor in the cost to replace the 5th gear syncro. That ain't cheap.

well correct me if im wrong but type R only comes in championship white? and that other guy is right about the front end, dubble check the year, theres a very very slim chance thats a 98. unless the guy had a real fetish for the 94 front end.

also, if those are ebay halos, which they propably are.. odds are theyre crap and will leak, and i hear halos have crappy light output, even without the smokededness. and the ecu isnt good either.

id guess this thing was beat to hell, ask for records for the oil changes. even though the guy probly did it himself. also a carfax couldnt hurt. the seller might have one already, or if your really interested he may get one for you.

oh, those also look like LS seats as well, i belive all gsr's had leather.

just too much doesnt add up with this one, id say keep looking.

Correct. At first they came out with Championship White, then I believe a year or two later they discontinued CW and used Phoenix Yellow and Flamenco Black Pearl.

What the hell is Type R red? 18" wheels are disgusting. And that is a 94 front.

I hate these posts

But if you want my opinion it looks like a piece of ****. Try to find something stock, or closer to it ... even if you have to settle for a cheaper model or a civic , you'll thank yourself later when you don't have black corner lenses ...

it looks like it has a 98-up steering wheel so im thinking it is a salvaged 98, whether it's a gsr or not.... it is up to him to check the vin. the car looks like a pile of ****, i don't know why everyone thinks 5g's is a good price. **** for 5g's you could buy my friends clean title(but a lil banged up) 00 gsr. lol. i wouldnt buy that thing for anything over 3500 if it is clean title, i wouldn't spend over 2g's on it if it's salvage.

I think that I'd keep shopping. Too many red flags on that one.

ok here some info.

ITR's came in milano red in japan.

that JDM ITR ecu is useless since the gsr has the dual stage Intake manifold

the ecu enables the engine to rev higher then the engine is intended too(needlessly beating it up)

that is a 94-97 style front bumper(with no ITR lip)and possibly rear bumper

I doubt its a racing suspension(prolly race springs on stock shocks)

needs fifth gear syncro? how many fifths do you know that go out. id say the tranny is damaged.

BTW i call BS on the "racing downpipe" those go on turbo vehicles...

id say drive it to a professional shop and have it inspected and also run a carfax.

here is some more info

Why do so many people care about what car came in what color in what year. WHO CARES!!!! get of the computer and drive your cars. If you have a legit ? then post. The OP doesn't even have enough money for this car anyway, he's prolly trying to convince his parents to buy it for him.

not to mention the JDM ECU won't interface properly with the USDM VTEC solenoid.
