Default question on what ECU should i use. for b20

ok i recently dropped a b20 ECU into my car

and I'm running it with a sohc non vtec ECU.

the bad thing about this ECU is that it sucks until it hits 4000 RPM and it feel very tuorquey after that.... until it cuts off at 6000 RPM so i only enjoy torque for 2000 RPMs

NOW when i use my Friend mugen chipped p28 ECU i dont feel that torque i feel with mine for those 2000 RPMs. why is it that his ECU is nice and juicy but not torquey like my sohc ecu.

sorry if the question is not so understandable but I'm not quite sure how ot describe this.

get an ecu and chip, then get your car tuned properly, generic chips are useless IMHO.

What motor are you using, B20????

you can probably get a 94-95 LS ecu cheaper have that one chipped and sell the P28 or save for when you get a vtec head

no generic chip is going to be perfect for your motor unless its completely stock and you get a stock basemap

many be on here chip ecus

check out Pheareble.net HT user

there are many others on this board

p75 (LS ecu) has shown great improvemnts in non vtec SOHC.
Friends hatch with a Y7 (stock with bolton's) ran a 15.8 using a p75. Fuel map is a little more agressive than the stock 1.6 is.

P75 or PR4 is the only 2 i would consider if you dont want a custom tune.

either p75 or pr4 will get you the best out of the box tune.

only reason the p06 gives more torque down low is because it has a more aggresive timing curve.

that's something I've iteresting been wanting to hear. but does it ultimately beat the p75. or should i stick anything other the p06

cool

...but what does the pr4 come out of.

no PR3 is a JDM zc ecu, and yes its OBD0, pr4 is USDM integra obd1 ecu, i think it was also used in 94s.
