I went with the tien basics and they are allsome. Just need to take the top mounts off your old ones. No matter what your going to run over 1,000 for a decent set of coil overs. If they are selling for else its either they are used or nock offs.

A full coilover setup is going to ride a LOT harsher than your stock suspension (even harsher than some spring and shock combos).
I would usually only recommend full coilovers if the car is going to be raced or repeatedly adjusted. Unless you have money to throw around...
A similar setup can be achieved with a good spring and shock combo, for much cheaper. The ride quality will be a bit better/smoother, and depending on what components you choose they may be as adjustable as a full coilover.
For instance, my suspension setup: Tokico D-Spec shocks ($500) and Skunk2 sleeve coilovers ($300?). The coilovers were already on the car when I bought it, but can be found for cheap if they're used. Just like full coilovers, I can adjust the damping/stiffness and ride height.

Okayyyyyyy, sorry to be so untechnical. I was simply stating that the majority of coilovers are rougher than stock/aftermarket shock combos. The majority. And besides, the savings of matching a nice spring and shock combo are sweet.
