Default Help In Va

ok, i just recently moved to Blacksburg, Va. I left my 91 ef in texas with my brother and I'm looking to buy another to play with, I found a shell and I wanna swap in a b16a or a b18c, I know tons of sites online to buy motors from....i just dont feel comfortable buying a motor i really cant check out in person.

my question.

anyone know of any junk yards or pick a part places around south-west Va that might have these engines or body parts? or possibly any friends who might be selling them also.

thanks for the help

You'll have better luck in the regional classifieds in the marketplace.

I know a local yard that has a full USDM swap for I think he said $3,000 with tranny, axles and ECU but that's a bit too rich for my blood. Especially since he said it was like 120k miles or so.

yeah, i had found a place in texas where i could get the full engine (block and head, alternator, ect.) pretty cheap for around $600 for a zc and a b18c1 neither were running but im planning on reworking the head and bottom end, I m really planning on setting the engine up on a stand and working on it over time.
