Default Aftermarket Crank Pulley/Stock alternator Pulley Belt....Questions

So I just purchased this car and it turns out it has a aftermarket crank pulley and the stock alternator one. The belt had been makin noise and it finally gave out while driving and I couldnt find the belt. So What kinda belt do you guys think would fit?? The motor is a d16z6....I tried the stock one from autozone but it fits really loose still.

see if you can contact whoever you bought the car from and ask them what brand pulley. maybe you can get the belt from whoever made that pulley.

Put a stock pulley back on it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ReDemoN &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Put a stock pulley back on it.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

that would be a good idea also.

Use a piece of string to measure the belt length you need. Then take the old one with you to the auto parts store and buy a replacement of the proper length that matches that style.

Heres another thing...The crank pulley has two grooves while the stock one has three. I just put a belt that fits the alternator pulley perfectly but not so much on the crank. The only other thing I could try is a two groove belt on the crank pulley...but it wont sit right on the alternator. Any other opinions?

Put the damn factory pulley back on it, before your oil pump decides to go on vacation, its simply not worth it, and if the belt snapped and fell off, odds are the grooving and the alignment of the pulley is off which will only snap another belt.
