97 HB w/ b16a2 CEL #9 out of the blue?!
OBD2 ecu.. Left the beach yesterday it was rainin.. got home.. parked the car.. got up and went to leave this mornin and im throwin a CEL 9.. 9 CYP - cylinder sensor... it stutters when it starts and doesnt idle right.. i cant find much info on this cel code other than replace the whole dist.. things arent cheap... im just wondering if thats what i need to do.. and also what would cause this??
bump.. anyone?? i just opened up my dizzy and everything is clean as new in there.. no signs of water damage... my cap still looks brand spankin new.. only questionable part is the rotor.. im headed to advance now to pick one up.. mayby this will cure it.. ill let you know.. gonna throw in new plugs while im at it for good measure..
finally located a good piece of tech.. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1405526... only problem is.. everything checks out... resistance is 384.4 which is in range according to that article.. so why would i be throwing this code?
yeah, i just got that code today during this monsoon of a storm here in CHI... I'm looking at my alldata trouble guide and it's pointing the finger at the dizzy... I have to test a few pins for resistance and check for any opens... but I have the same symptoms as you chico... Let me know if you figure something out... gonna order a dizzy housing now and try swapping out tomorrow.
