Hey guys whats up, i just a have a question??

i got a b18b1 block and i missing the main caps... can i use others used LS main cap..??? do i have to line hone the entire assembly if i get those??? PLEASE HELP

yeah technically you shouldn't swap main (or cam) caps like that.

if you do it SHOULD be align honed.....

however i've never tried it. i bet people have done it successfully, just gotta get lucky & hope that the used replacements have worn at the same rate as your block.

i'd scrap the block if it were me.

 

just have it line bored and your good to go
