Default Valentine 1 hardwire question (RE: wires)

I need to hardwire my V1, but I do not know which wires go where. Below is the picture of the wires. There are four. Which wires do I connect to the power source, and which ones are grounded?

Thanks.

, that looks like the V1 is not a 12V system, or not all of it is, what did you do with the lighter plug in, it may have a transformer in it. 94

If it's anything like the Passport, there's power & ground and 2 signal wires that the unit uses for it's external display & mute button.

I still have the cig lighter plug, but the wire drapes right across the radio. The wire above is from an actual hardwire kit, but the end was torn off in an accident I was involved in.

That's what I was thinking, too. So, obviously, red=power, black=ground, and 2 accessory wires?

Anyone confirm this? Also, if I do want to use the concealed display and mute, where do I connect the green and yellow wires to? Do I just tap them all into the power source?

Mine's up by my rear view mirror, with the wire tucked up in the headliner, down the A pillar, under the dash and through a small hole in my center console, plugged into the cig. adapter. Looks hardwired with no effort. However, if I remember correctly, the kit comes with a little clip/pin thing so you can hardwire it up in 2 seconds. The only reason I haven't done it is because I have no idea what to wire it to so I'm not messing with it.

The V1 comes with a hardwiring kit.. (Item 20305)

instead of using the crappy connector they provide.. just get a female quick disconnect, and crimp it to the kit's power wire...

then put that to your accessory 12+ or ignition 12+

and then wire the ground accordingly...

you really didn't have to go through all that trouble of stripping and cutting a telephone wire...
