not sure if its such a good idea....i thought about it already but there are airbags in the seats...that would either void a warranty and sacrifice safety....even if you get srs seats the plugs could possibly be diffrent or something like that

 

Mine is a nonusdm fit and I don't think it has any of those airbags...

I've been wanting DC5 ITR seats too but don't have the $$$. Do it! I would.

 

we have airbags in the seat? whoa.. you learn something new every day.

i guess that's where the side airbags deploy from? dang, i was hoping to replace those seats with something more supportive...

 

its been done & it will fit. SR3 and SR4 will fit fine.

here's mine, no problems wth center console nor is there shoulder problems between seats or doors

someone was talking about seat covers and they said they cant use them on their fit cuz of the airbags

 

im not sure wth USDM Fits. but JDM Jazz's here certainly dont have air bags in our seats.

Theres airbags in the USDM seats.

But its the same as swapping out your steeringwheel for an aftermarket one, you just disconnect it and sacrifice that safety. Not that i think its particularly safe, my arm always seems to be near it. If it ever goes off, im going to have a dislocated shoulder

 

How hard is it to mount these floorpan, can i use the DC2/DC5 runners or do i need to cut and weld them? I have been offered a set of dc2 recaros which i would love to mount in my fit

 

See now, I was told that the side airbags were not in the seat, but that the airbag sensors are. For those that don't know, Fits will vary the air bag deployment speed, and whether or not to deploy the airbags at all depending on where you are sitting and how fast your going. Honda's site has some nice little animations of it and it pretty clearly shows the side bags (no the side curtains) deploying from the door/door frame.
