HELP! marking TDC on my Fidanza Flywheel
i've searched and not getting a clear answer so here it goes:
i have a fidanza flywheel and TDC is not marked on it.
i understand that i am going about it the right way if i marked the TDC on the flywheel (lining up with the marker that's connected to the engine block) when the no.1 cylinder is at tdc.
however, my big question is--> does it even matter if it's on a compression or exhaust stroke?
if so and it looks like i'd need to mark it when it's on a compression stroke, what's the easiest way to tell?
TIA!
let me know if i'm not making sense.

A Fidanza should have 2 little slots for 15 degrees and TDC. I just put some paint in the slots on mine to match the OEM flywheel.
thanks for the response...i was hoping for the slots as well but i think i have the older/1st gen wheels that didn't have any markings...
Well, you could line up the Fidanza next to the OEM wheel (with the little tab that goes into the crank) and do the marks that way.
problem is, the fidanza flywheel is already installed in the car so i can't line it up with the stock one unless i take off the trans housing
