First my sisters finance and now my friend. He has a PY 01 ITR. Stolen from the Lincolnwood/skokie area. All stock. If any one in the area please keep a lookout. It has red rims so you can tell it apart from other ITRs. He has a detachable wheel but didnt take it off that night. It was parked at the LTC mall. Thats were it was last. Il keep you all updated.

UPDATE!!!!
Car was found with red JDM seats missing. The rear wing has a big scratch. The sound system is gone. Theives must of had burger king cuz theres garbage all over. The engine is untouched. I guess he got lucky. Its still at the impound lot. Im not sure when he will be picking it up.

I used to do 1-4 on a regular basis and knew it was only a matter of time, even in a "safe" area. Now I have a DD it hasn't seen the light of day in 2 weeks.

Bullshit? Where the hell have you been? You've been around this forum since the year 2000 and still say what you're saying? How many more need to be stolen before you realize that it's not safe, EVER, to park your ITR at a god damn mall... and I'm sure 98% of the ITR owners will agree with me.

Was I insensitive? Maybe a little bit, and I'm sorry it got taken from him, but we live in a harsh world when it comes to owning one, an ITR. Sorry that you can't deal with it, at least quit lying to yourself. You seem to be behind a generation still, this isn't a world where what's yours is yours and what's mine is mine anymore, unless you take proper care of it.

Another vehicle stolen from LTC. It almost seems like most imports that do get stolen in Chicago and the surrounding area and either parked at LTC or in the Lincolnwood and Skokie area.

Sorry for the loss and I'll keep an eye out.

 

For those that don't know what's the LTC ?

 

ltc = acronym for a mall. (lincolnwood town center)

i seldom drive around skokie/lincolnwood area because it's a black hole for cars. a bunch of family/friends cars got stolen in that area. sorry to hear what happened.

Public transportation or beater vehicle perhaps, or just accept the consequences when the time comes. Mall parking lots are a hotbed for vehicle theft of all types, let alone a theft magnet such as an ITR.
