Default Quick Hello and Introduction

Heya everyone, just wanted to say hi to all the people on HT, esp the fellow FG2 owners. Just got my "new" 06 Si 2 weeks ago (NHBP) and re-fell in love with the Si's. This is my fourth Honda, 89 civic, 00 Turbo Si, 02 Turbo Si and now my 06 Si.

I am also a tech/detailer at a Honda dealership in the Chicago burbs, so if you have any questions feel free to drop me a line. And just realized how sad it is now, only having this be my first post on a new forum, instead of my EPhatch days... oh well.

And HT is the only forum I can really get on at work in my spare time, cause we block everything else lol!

Pictures coming up soon, well Friday cause my detail stuff I ordered from autopia will be in, that and work will be getting our detail supplies too.

Ok well here is the deal on that. I'm 21 and currently an Automotive Engineering Major, Pre-law minor. (Don't even begin to ask on that)

But at my dealership I only work over my vacations from college because I go to school 300 miles away from home. So.... I do anything and everything here. I can't be a "full-tech" cause I can't work long enough in a consistent fashion, but I do lube-tech work, detail packages, delivery spots, and various other tech services. But I have a fair amount of knowledge with cars, because I have done all my own work to every car I have owned including 3 different turbo setups, valve jobs, sleeving blocks, tearing apart manual trans, various stuff with LSDs, and read everything I could, self-training vise on K-Pro and did my dealerships tech courses and some ASE certs.

But I'm also fairly fluent in the "detail" world and once all my stuff comes in, I'm gonna do a step by step of how I do stuff and a few basics on using an orbital buffer.

But yeah sorry for the long winded answer, but it's slow at work now, since we're open til midnight here, but i work from 10am til 11 so now my shift is OVER finally and I'm going home. Hope that answered your question.. and btw SS.... Boba Fett = RULES

You should hit up our K20 meet next month:

It looks like it'll be a pretty good turnout. Hope to see you there

TypeX good to see another EPhatch member, sucks I missed the BBQ this year, but oh well.

I work at O'Hare Honda in Des Plaines, we honestly have some of the best techs here I have ever met. Most of them have built some pretty crazy cars (Hondas and Domestics too) But yeah if you ever need help with TSBs or getting **** done under warranty, etc I'll be glad to help, just drop me a PM before you plan on showing up here.

I work M-Th 2-12 and Sat 7-5

iirc they cannot deny your warranty for getting your oil changed somewhere besides Honda.
