Default Searched entire service manual... Help!

I just searched through the service manual for my "civic" and I coulden't find any info.

I need to know, how to remove the windshield washer fluid sensor, in the bottom of the washer reservoir. the light is always on in my cluster, yet its full, I have a replacement from my old car, I just need to know how to remove the sensor, without ripping the tank apart, or wrecking the sensor.

I know its a reeally specific question, but someone must know! please!

I wish I could help you, but I'm looking at both the 6th gen Civic washer information in the manual and the 1.6EL washer information in the manual and neither mentions a washer fluid sensor.

I know my '98 Civic EX doesn't have a light on the dash for low washer fluid.

No such sensor exists. If it does I'll eat my sock.

Though I'll need a donation of soy sauce.

I refuse to eat my sock due to the fact that you drive a 1.6EL and not a civic

In the mean time, fill your reservoir and check the wiring to that sensor.

Chow time.

acura_el2000, do you think you could just replace the entire resevoir? That might be easier. That might even be the way it goes.

I say if the wiring looks in tact, then replace it with the old one. Should be pretty straightforward.

yeah I guess replacing the whole thing is the way its done at the dealer anyway. the guy told me it would be 3 hrs labour just to get the bumper off! me= 2.5 mins ahah.

ek forever, well compromise, you only have to eat half your sock!

ahhhhh come on, pics of sock eating, u lied
just spray the rubber grommet with wd-40, use a big flat screw driver, don't know the # size? and twist on the grommet/sensor. this will pop it out without breaking both.
do u know it's the sensor?

hmm, are you sure it wont break it? I might gently try this,
and yeah about 80% its the sensor, all the wires appear to be fine, and the dealership says the sensors are usually the cause

6th gen USDM and Canadian Civics are EJs for the most part, not EKs. And his 1.6EL isn't an E-anything.
