Default 4 X 100 to 4 X 114.3 Wheel Adapter

If you want to put 4 x 114.3 rims on 4 x 100 car. Will getting adapters be better and cheaper than the 4 x 114.3 conversion?

Good Idea or Bad Idea?

I wouldn't, for all kinds of reasons. For one thing, the adapter is going to push the wheels out at least an inch from the car, which means you may need to roll your fenders, etc. Also, there are lots and lots of 4x100 wheels available on the market to fit, both new and used, so it's a lot cheaper and easier to stick with 4x100 wheels that fit your car, instead of getting the wrong wheel and then bending over backwards to figure out a way to use it.
