STREET GUYS! Drag Radial Input
I know there are the BFG's which I had before, I know Mickey Thompson has some now, i THINK M&H might. What you guys running on 15" wheels. Whats your opinions?
the bfg is not a comparable tire with the mt et street or m&h.... ive personally gone 10.8 on the mt et street. and a number of people have gone 10's on the m&h. if you want street driveability get the 225/50/15 bfg, its a 23 inch tire compared to the 26 inch tire of mt. if traction is what you want, either bias ply will do, if you want street driveability get the bfg

if your going to get the BFG's get the 225's for some reason the 235s dont hook like the 225s i had back to back passes on them and droped almost a second on the 225s

just to add a side note, there is 2 different versions of the bfg drag radial.
the g force t/a drag radial and the comp t/a drag radial (now being renamed the g-force t/a drag radial 2).
apparently one is for more a balance of durability and traction more than the other... and they have some slightly different sizes available under each line.

I've notice the GForces hook better than the Comp T/A's but they wear out fast. If you frequent the track (2-3 times a month) and run them on the street, the life expectancy is gonna be 5-8k miles. The Comp T/A's I've seen 10K+ but it's different for every individual.

m/t drag RADIAL in my opinion sucks! i tried using them with as little as 4 lbs in them and still could not hook the car up. i would try going with the bfgs lots of people are having good luck out of them, the last i heard jim hucks was running 10.7 on a set
I ran the M/T ET Streets (235/60/15) on my old car on the street and they worked very well, i drove on them a couple days a week, wear was minimal, they are actually my dyno tires now
a friend has a integra with the MT 205/50/15 drag radials and managed to pull a 1.9 60', he makes about 350whp, stock motor mounts, etc... I have heard that the 235/60/15 bfg's suck and that the 225/50/15 is a different tire and much better. MT et street radial 235/60/15 seems a little big to drive around every day.
I drive on 235/60/15 bfgs everytime I drive the car(3 times a week before it broke) and race on 235/60/15 M&H's. the tire you chose depends a lot on the tranny you have and power you make

This man speaks the truth.
I've tried EVERY drag radial out and it really depends on your setup.
For DD usage though, I am starting to like the 235-60-15 M&H tires the more and more I drive on them.
The new 225-50-15 MT DR is a very good overall choice for around the 400 whp range.
I would NOT drive the M&H drag radials in the rain. Scary ride..... Also, the steering feel of the M&H drag radials is pretty loose since it's a tall bais ply.

I have a set of M&H 235/60/15 bias plys. I like them alot and hook well on the street. I probably put a few hundred miles on them on the street and only ran once at the track with them, so the wear on them is unoticable with the street driving and 8 passes or so. First and only time to the track with them I ran a best of whats in my signature and that was with a 1.84 60'. I also do not make quite enough power for those big tires so they were hurting my car on the big end. I recently took them off personally because I was tired of driving my car on the street with 235/60/15" tires; although, it looked pretty dang mean!
I have had the 225/50 & 235/60 bfg as well as the M/T and like the M/T better. The 225 bfg worked better than the 235/60 I guess because of the tread difference. The bias ply tires are in a whole different league than the radial tires though and should never even be compared with a radial.

thanks....lol. I had 225/50/15 BFG's and made 401whp on pump and the car was hitting the limiter at 9500 in the traps with my ITR tranny. LS tranny you can get away with the 225's or even with the GSR tranny, short gearing you really can't. I broke a lot of axles on the track with the BFg 235's but the M&H I get no hop what so ever

I hear that. the Bias plys make a world of difference though

i just want that gangster mean look with the 235/60/15 MT Street radials, this car wont ever be daily driven, just driven sometimes for fun on the weekends, most track time would be on slicks.

which is better? the new bfgs or M/T's new drag radial for sport compacts? the bfgs only last me under 1000 miles on the street. ive been through two sets. they do hook alright so them not lasting long is okay.
here is the new MT et street drag radial in sport compact sizes..
