Palmdale City Council Meeting
Tonight! Wednesday June 20th 7PM!!
BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Wednesday June 20th
The Palmdale City Council will meet at 7pm
City Council Chambers, 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite “B” Palmdale, CA 93550
The Corner of Palmdale Blvd & Sierra Highway
The Building Behind The Public Library
We need everyone to show up and help us “Save LACR” this could be our “Last Stand”! If the City of Palmdale doesn't step in and stop the digging by “Granite Construction” the mining of LACR will start again on July 30th!! If “Granite Construction” is allowed to take the next 300 feet like they plan to, “LACR Is FINISHED”!
If LACR closes it will put more racers back on the streets, causing more deaths more causalities and loss of property. It will take away another Drag Strip from the racing community that want's to have a “Safe and Legal” place to race. It will impact local community resources by having more Sheriffs answering calls regarding “Street Racing,” when they could be handling more serious crime. Closing LACR will impact the local economy as well, by stopping the influx of racers and fans that stay in our “Local Motels”, shop at our “Local Markets”, eat at our “Local Restaurants” and buy gas at our “Local Gas Stations”!
We need everyone to come to the City Council Meeting next Wednesday June 20th at 7pm and show your support for LACR.
Be there! Tell your Friends!! The Media has already told us that they will be there to cover the meeting!!
Remember: The worst thing in Life in not loosing,
the worst thing in Life is “Not Having Tried”!

its good that people are fighting to keep it open, really retarded that they would impede on it in the first place...seems like cali is the home of street racing to begin with.

I can't help much from the east coast but I use to race there back in the late 70's when a friend Berni Longjohn owned the track. I and buddy's from George AFB had a lot of good times there. It was a nice change from the 1/8 mile track Berni ran at the base.
Good Luck, the entire country needs more tracks to help the teenagers grow up and learn about there cars and give them a chance to meet other people that have the same interest. I have some great memories from the years I spent at GAFB.
My son rota92 (20y/o) and I just won a national event. He knows how much fun I had when I was his age drag racing. I'm glad I had places like Palmdale, as we called it back then, to go where I could race my car safely.
My son and I have been working towards his goal of winning a Wally for the past 5 years. Little did I know back then that I'd still be involved with drag racing almost 30 years later.
Again, Good Luck
