I was washing my car earlier today and noticed a nice hole on my passenger side foglight. I've had my Si for only a few months so I called Honda to see what they could do about it. They told me the warrenty probably doesn't cover it, since it's "roadside damage". I was thinking more of the case of poor quality. I'm not in the mood to drop 140 bucks on a new foglight. Any suggestions?
its a common problem, rock chips on foglights
best thing i would do is lamin-x them
but the ones that are already broken, your out of luck with those
i'm not sure about "poor quality" but glass that close to the ground can endure a lot of debris damage

Alright thats it... I'm just going to go into the fog-lens business. DO NOT GET ANOTHER LAMP if the bulb still works. If you kick it on while there is moisture in there it usually kills it. I have paid more than enough for foglight replacements due to broken lenses. My fix: (note the ORIGINAL idea game from an RSX owner with the same issue.) https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1905767

Oh, I plan on taking it to the dealer and seeing if they will just up and replace it with a bit of convincing citing "bad design, poor quality, etc". If they resist, then I guess I'll fork money over.
sorry about your foglights.
i got mine from passowrd JDM and i didn't have them for more than like a month then they cracked. now there is like a dime size hole. sucks!
i go to VA tech so i drive to the beach and home a lot so i-81 is killer, 4 hours on there i'm surprised they lasted that long. best bet is to do the DIY.

I got my drivers side foglight waranteed at my local honda dealership. I claimed that it was chipped from the inside of the light and that the heat caused the glass to be much more fragile and they said OK and gave me a new foglight $0 freeebbbeeeeee
