one of my old buddies had a wrx one on his yellow type-r... im not sure how it'd look on an eh2 tho.
it helps get air on the turbo, they get really hot.... doesnt seem like a bad idea.

If your looking to buy a scoop, dont waste your time buying a scoop. When you buy just a scoop you have to cut a hole out in your hood for it to go in, then you have to have it bondo'ed and replainted. That's just a waste of money and time for me. If i were you, i would go to Grounddynamics.com or an equivalant website and get a new hood with a air scoop already in it.
expletive that man, im not going to spend that much on one. i know the wrx ones come with a rubber seal that goes between the hood. looks clean and without using bondo ftw.

doing something like this would work 100% better and not look gay like a scoop would on a honda.....

I'm with mike, subtle "scoop" or no scoop.
Though on a front mount I think you'd be better wrapping it in ice packs...

^^ Very true. I did just happen to see a CF hood not too long ago that had an insert (cutting/riveting required) that was sunken into the hood and seemed to be directly over the intake though and it looked clean. Perhaps the same could be done but over your turbo? You would have to search the sites and ask around, but someone would have some info.

If someone did it the way I pictured, I think it would be better over the intake mani area instead of the turbo, over the turbo will cause a bunch of rust. If you wrap your dp and stuff like that, it will retain a lot of moisture when your not driving. But.....I guess its personal preference.
I also saw a CF hood sorta like what I posted the pic of, but it also has a little scoop behind the passenger headlight for an intake that I don't like.

Hell, you could even purchase the "fog light" air damn inserts along with some heating hose and redirect the air flowing into your bumper to wherever you wish.

I dont think you wouldnt benefit at all. But theres so much other stuff to spend money on than something you have to hack your hood for. Why not just get on of those small carbon fiber intake ducts you can rivet right above your intake?

suck***....... because underhood temps get really high and that transfers onto youe IM, turbo piping, and even intercooler. imo its generally a good idea to get some air flowing when im auto-xing for a long period of time.

Scientific air-flow chart or BAN.
Come on man, how is air going to flow from the top of the engine bay, and escape out the bottom? WAY more air flows under the car grabbing hot engine bay air and moving it outside than anything you can do to your car.
