quiet exhaust system!!??
i got an apexi n1 catback on my DA, but damn im tired of getten f*cking pulled over by da cops at every stop light...almost $250 and the hole in the muffler trick aiint working anymore...so im wondering if any1 knows of any exhaust dats is quieter but at the same time keep up wit the performance of my N1??? thanks for any help!
Stock! exhaust doesnt do anything except being loud and annoying unless your running a fat header mated to a straight through cat to get any sort of performance. but if you insist on having an exhaust es oval is decently quiet and stock looking and straight through
I just got my Type R exhaust sounds great!!!!
I couldn't decide between the 05 Type S, or the Type R. After having them next to each other I chose the Type R
my setup is H22 stock header 2 1/4 straight pipe no cat still sounds stockish with a deeper tone didn't hurt performance much (very minimum fart can noise, but what can you expect with straight pipe). I was running a thermal racing and development muffler and I don't regret taking it off.

Half of you guys are retarted. He has a DA not a DC. The DA exhaust has different design not to mention it is on the other side of the bumper. Just get a RSR Exmag and call it good or you could always just get a silencer which is what I did and just take it out everyonce in a while.
hmm mine was pretty quiet but i did have a resonator and a cat tho. greddy sp is also a quiet exhaust but i think the muffler is chambered..and i dont know if they even make a sp or sp2 for da's. but if they have rsr for da's i would get that i loved mine
i don't know what's wrong with your n1 but mines is silent when i normal drive and only gets louder when i go higher rpm and of course i have the silencer on all the time. i have a 4-1 ss dc header with apexi n1 cat-back on a db8 chassis. i liked it most when my vtec kicks.

The most quiet exhaust I've heard is the Apexi WS2 or the Greddy SP2... I have the ws2 on my car right now becuase its so quiet.... Never got pulled over and it looks really good..
The OP has a DA, not a dc or any other that can use the exhaust's you guys are mentioning, the DA has a different exhaust system design, not a lot of choices out there.
I would recommend the rs*r exmag, very discreet, stock looking, not loud whatsoever. My friend had one on his b20vtec, very quiet even at crusing speed sounded like stock. When vtec hits then yes it gets a bit loud. You can either get it in polished or black coated. I prefer black coated with the polished or chrome tip since it resembles closely to stock, and still get performance gains.
Not sure if its a 2.5", but its in between 2.25 - 2.5" piping.

i think he needs one that LOOKS stock too. i had that problem before, and im in mass so the cops suck. i cut off the coffee can and put a flat black vibrant muffler on there. its mostly about the muffler in terms of loudness. the vibrant isnt extremely quiet but it looks stock and the noise can be controlled when you need to.
