Anyone know the oil drain plug and washer sizes for the 97 Accord off the top of their head? I know I can find out at the local auto parts store, but thought I would just give it a shot here first. Appreciated!

 

I believe the washer is 14mm

you can buy them at Honda for $.25

I don't know about the bolt size

Go to your dealer. For the sixth generation, the bolt for a 4 cylinder is $1.35 and the washers are 6 for $2.10.

Or if you need to buy filters too, check out a place like http://www.handa-accessories.com . The earliest Honda they list is a '98 but I bet if you send them an email they can set you up with the bolt, washers, and a case of filters, at a price about 20% to 25% less than MSRP which is the standard mechanic's discount.

For what it's worth, I just bought a bolt for my '95 Toyota Camry's oil plan, was around $3.75, though the parts guy gave me a bag of ten crush washers for free. And they have free fountain sodas at that dealership, my local Honda dealership doesn't
