How loud is it compared to the Apexi N1?

 

My friend has the apexi n1 and I have ridden with him many times. The typeone is a lot deeper and louder but the main difference is that once you hit 5.5K RPM, the exhaust is completely quiet. Very weird but is perfect...

 

I have heard this from a couple of people. I am running the Apex N1, and from comparing it to my friends' exhausts it tend to be the loudest in the 2k-4k RPM range... What's wierd about the Apex is that it is much quieter in that range when i use the silencer, but when I hit VTEC it is the same loudness with or without the silencer...

 

How is it compared to the Spoon N1?

 

It's a bit louder than spoon but not by much.

 

direct comparision to my Type One and buddy's Apexi N1 inside a building, Type One has a deeper tone to it and the N1 is more raspier. its a little loud for me cruising on highway but u get used to it. with the silencer in its like stock. yea there is a little quiet zone i've noticed to about 5.5k lol u can ride in that spot sound all nice and quiet then mash the peddle and scream on into Vtec. lol

this is to answer 1 fast R's quote...the reason ur vtec range sounds the same with or without the silencer is because most of the Vtec noise is coming from the motor and the intake...this drowns out the exhaust noise.
