A new engine...
Probably a new interior...
A new drivetrain definitely...
And probably a new body/frame.

I think you can a package deal on all that stuff for about 30k, just look around.

I hope everyone above me is kidding....

Why is everyone acting like the STI is some fast super car?

You just need around 220-230ish WHP. We have about a 400 lb weight advantage. The STI has AWD so if you race it from a dig you might have problems the first few gears.

Stock STI makes about 250ish whp, and weighs around 3200 lbs. So a greddy turbo at stock PSI should do it, a s/c on stock PSI should do it.. a 50 shot should do it..

Power to weight ratio is not the only factor here. Gear ratio, torque, acceleration between speeds, AWD > FWD, traction etc etc. Just as moderately modded WRX's still have a difficult time catching up to it's STi big bro. FI SI, however, would level the playing field by a LOT.

sti/evo are not that fast in stock form
from a dig, we'll probably get destroyed
but from a roll, bolt-ons and a reflash should be on par if not slightly ahead of a sti/evo

I know this kid with a Comptech S/C that raced a stock EVO and won. Granted and EVO is not an STi and it was from a roll. But IMO evo and the STi are closley matched. I dunno what these other people are talking about.

You make my 6th gen Accord sad

BTW, STi's, Evos, and Si's weren't built for street racing. Try them at the track. When you spank the **** out of them, feel happy.

:whistles:

I beat an STI last week, and an M3 the week before... (i remember some turbo FG lost to one in a video posted on another site)

The STI kill story was funny because I managed to hang with him off the line with bald OEM tires...

And last night I got pwned by a turbo galant. BS!

But yea, STI's and Evo's aren't magical supercars. A bolt-on supercharger, cold air intake and exhaust is all I needed.

Wow, that's it?

You would probably need a good ~60 or so WHP to keep up with an STI, and that's just on a straight-away. Encounter any area where grip is needed and you're gonna need a lot more than just more hp.
