the d series motors came out in 88 for the crx's. you have an 86, so you have a 1.5 multi-port fuel injected motor with something like 76 hp. some of the parts can be modified from the d-series motors, but you will have to do a lot of work. there is nothing that i am familiar with that is a direct swap for that motor.
All the 84-87 motors are basically the same, regardless of the name change to d series in 86 or 87. But the old d15 is totally different than the d15 from 88 to current...
I don't know why they changed the motor codes to Ds at the last minute. You'd think they'd just leave them ew3, ew4, etc, since nothing physically changed.
