yes this is probably a bit unusual but i am about to do this.

my 92 hatch has a d16y8 that isnt running right at all. no idea whats wrong dont give a crap because i could care 2 ***** less about the vtec or how fast this car is.

now i am able to get my hands a rear-ended 89DX hatch (for free) that has a good running 1.5L 5 speed in it, yes i know this is cable and mine is hydro. but what all else would be involved in putting the older civic engine in my 92. i plan on taking out all of the wiring in mine and just running the harness in the 89 in the 92 with the 89 obd0 ecu.

is this a doable project?
