Default Looking for an approx wieght of a top mount manifold.

I've been trying to get a manifold I bought mailed to me for about three weeks now.The dick claims he's shipped it twice now but it came back to him both times. He wouldn't tell me what address he shipped it to , only that it must have been wrong.I gave him the address again and he gave me a UPS tracking number.According to the tracking it's only been submitted and not picked up.The kicker is the tracking says the package weighs 3.60 pounds .That sounds WAY to light to me.

Mani is prolly about 25lbs actually. I pulled my GT40R off of the manifold and themani was heavier BUT it also had two 44mm wastegates and dumptubes attached also

But yeah needs to be 15+ lbs

Depending on how he shipped it out he could of lied about the weight. If you use those e-stamp machines you can actually put the weight quite a bit lighter and usps will take it without any questions asked... For instance when getting my block sleeved i put 15lbs as the weight even though it weighted far more and they didnt question it a bit!

That is trying to look on the bright side for you! Hopefully its a manifold when you open the box!

Maybe UPS or whoever the shipper is screwed up, call the shipping service to see if thats wrong. Maybe he ships himself on his own scale and scammed them lol</TD></TR></TABLE>

SLS was my guess too.I'll give it another day or so and see if it changes when it actually gets picked up.He kind of refers to himself as a business, but everyone does these days.I laughed when he replied saying he fired the guy who shipped it to the wrong address the first time.I guess he should have fired himself when he shipped it wrong the second time.

He might have tried to scam UPS on the weight. He said he would reimburse the shipping fee (he was fishing for positive feed back). It should get here before I need to drop or escalate the paypal dispute.

No problem with you guys at all (SLS). This is a private sale, not from a fabricator. He said it was made locally so that made me think of SLS.I still would like to give it a try if I can get this dick to actually ship the thing.

Thanks for the honesty. I could have used a little more of that from your friend. Thanks again for stepping up and helping.

Whoa, 225lbs!

I bet an R&R motor doesn't even weigh 225 lbs.

I think I've cracked the sophisticated scammer language.......

"Shipped it twice and it came back both times" is actually translated to "I'm a dirtbag, deadbeat, **** wrangler."
