problems with my keyless entry remote

i have a 99 acura tl 3.2 with keyless entry remote. the remote went to ***** and now i am in need of a new remote. i tried ebay lookin for a 99 model remote but they only have 2000 and up. i was wondering if i can use the one from a 2000?

as far as i know u can up to the '01.....
